Prenatal care

The Center for Family Health began by providing prenatal care to pregnant women in 1991, and expert pregnancy care is still provided today by our women’s health staff at 505 N. Jackson Street.

When a woman learns she is pregnant, she needs to begin receiving prenatal care.  At the Center for Family Health, expectant moms choose their obstetrician or a nurse practitioner and continue to see this doctor throughout their pregnancies.  During periodic check-ups, the doctor monitors the health of the woman and the progress of the pregnancy.  Our four obstetricians deliver our patients’ babies at Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospital.

Care is continued for the mom through the post-partum stage; the baby’s care is entrusted to our pediatricians.
